Rising rates! No end to the war! 24 Hour trading!
With the fed starting to raise rates, it will push the values down on our bond holdings. Don’t worry, our bond fund managers will work hard to trade out of some old bonds and buy newer, higher yielding bonds, which should give us upside later when we see rates start to move down.
We have no idea when this war will end and give us lower fuel prices. In the meantime, it has caused the fed to raise rates to fight inflation. Imagine starting a war and causing inflation, but being angry at the fed for raising rates to combat the inflation…makes no sense.
It seems our regulators think we need 24-hour a day stock trading. I guess that also means 24 hour a day stock news. How will anyone sleep? I think it might be too much of a good thing. My vote is NO.
